In a city where lives intersect in surprising ways and destiny loves to play tricks, we had never met, even though we shared mutual friends. Life, with its twists and turns, seemed determined to keep our paths apart. But everything changed on Sunday, September 19, 2021.
 

That day, I went to a party, and as I was leaving, already out on the street, I got a call from a friend asking me to come back. So I did. And that’s when our paths crossed for the first time. From that moment, our lives were never the same.
 

The following days were filled with long WhatsApp conversations, each message bringing us closer. The week after, I returned to São Paulo, and since then, despite various challenges and events, we’ve never been apart. We stayed strong and, in February 2022, decided to move in together.
 

We have so much in common. We love traveling, eating, drinking, and playing poker, and we always find joy in both the small and grand adventures we share. In all our conversations about life, we’ve been very honest with each other about what we wanted and dreamed of. Through this openness, we discovered a common denominator, which I believe is the foundation of a successful partnership: the desire to share life with someone who has principles, values, respect, and companionship, along with the dream of building a family.
 

During our time together, we’ve taken several unforgettable trips, each revealing even more how much we have in common and, more importantly, how we are enough for each other.
 

It was on one of these trips that destiny intervened once again. On September 23, 2024, André chose New York as the setting for one of the most special moments of our lives. Always attentive to details, he picked Thanksgiving Day, and with a breathtaking view, in a discreet gesture, he knelt on both knees (kkk) and asked me to marry him. It was one of the most beautiful and emotional moments of my life, a true fairytale. And of course, I knelt with him and said YES!
 

Since that day, with love, joy, and companionship, we’ve been dedicating ourselves daily to making this union a reality. Together, we tackled the apartment renovation while planning the wedding, emerging from this period stronger and even more united.
 

Two things I love most about André are his humility and generosity. Without a doubt, he has the kindest heart I’ve ever known. He takes care of me with unwavering dedication, always finding ways to make me happy. I adore how he makes an effort to be with the people I love and how he treats my family, especially my Gigi, who is, by the way, completely smitten with “Uncle Andrezinho.”
 

Now it’s time to hear what André loves most about me. In his words, “What I love most about Carol is her loyalty, dedication, and care for those she loves. She’s intense and always leaves a mark wherever she goes. Her roots from the countryside shine through in the way she treats people, always with kindness and humility. She’s perseverant in achieving her goals and pours love, dedication, and energy into everything she does.” He wanted to write even more, but I told him to save it for the vows! kkk
 

We share so much in common, yet our temperaments couldn’t be more different. André is all about peace and love, avoids conflict, and is quite anxious. On the other hand, with my vibrant energy, I’m a whirlwind of life and passion, never shying away from a good argument. But within my chaotic energy lies a calmness that often tells him, “Don’t worry, everything will be fine.” And together, we always find balance, complementing each other in ways only true love can provide. No matter what, it’s always one for the other.
